Great to see a new generation appreciating Roxy Music. I first saw them on their first U.S. tour in 1972, with Eno. Their 3rd (Stranded) and 4th (Country Life) are the pinnacle of their creativity. Then work backwards from there to Ladytron song on their first album. After “Siren,” they transformed into the Bryan Ferry show, polished, but not as exciting or interesting as their first 4 albums.

KRS One was right and asked the right question regarding why they did not stand up for themselves! I love this Ethiopian proverb;"Dine with a stranger but reserve love for your family". They were pioneers because they operated from something more powerful and bigger than themselves, Love. BUT it does not mean that all you do must come at the cost of yourself and all that pertains to you such as family, community, nationhood, etc. To do so is unwise and it's a lesson a lot of us black people seem to fail to learn and we wonder where our honour is because "we love" people. If that love is doing nothing but is making you vulnerable to having things taken from you perpetually, you need to review it as it's most likely to be anything but! Love protects and preserves too!

THE CHOSEN ONES HAD BEEN GIVEN EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR THE BENEFIT OF HUMANITY BUT THE GREEDY HAD TAKEN IT FOR MONETARY GAIN ( WHICH CANNOT BE TAKEN ANYWHERE) . THAT'S THE DESIGN BUT HOW WONDERFUL LIFE IS, THAT WHENEVER WE BELIEVE THAT WE'VE GOTTEN SOMEWHERE,THE RUG IS USUALLY TAKEN FROM UNDER US AND LIFE RESETS ITSELF. THEREFORE, ALL YOU CHOSEN ONES, TAKE HEART; THERE ARE MANY LISTENING TO YOUR NUGGETS / PEARLS OF WISDOM, WHO WILL TAKE IT, REINTERPRETE, BECOME THEIRS BUT TO NO AVAIL. KEEP ONNNN PREACHING/TEACHING BECAUSE YOU ARE OF THE MAJORITY. ONE LOVE.

So, what’s wrong with Black People today? Supposedly Black People are a 76-TRILLION-YEAR-OLD SPECIES, or some say Black People have NO BIRTH RECORD…. YET, these so-called “FATHER’S OF CIVILIZATION” were fully and absolutely conquered by White People in less than 6000-YEARS. That is embarrassing, right? There is no way in hell I’d be running around bragging about how I am the Original Asiatic Black Man, and I was totally subdued in a mere blip of time. But one should ask, WHO and/or WHAT AUTHORIZED the Black Man’s total subjugation on this planet? And/or, why is it that Black People show absolutely no Modern-day higher order thinking and/or observable behaviors that demonstrate an antient and/or indigenous grasp of “CIVILIZATION?” In other words, if you built it Black Man, then build it again? Jane Elliott must be on Farrakhan’ payroll…

KRS contradicts himself here. He starts off saying, “everyone’s in the black community”. Meaning, that people wrongly assumed that a poor community was all black folks. When in fact, there was everybody in the community.. Yet, at the end of the video, he makes an analogy about masterpieces, and assumes that the white woman wasn’t from also from a poor community, or even the same community.. He commits the same error he addressed at the beginning of the video.. Also, picking up money you saw someone drop does not make you a capitalist. Money is a tool of exchange. The basis of the exchange of value is mutual agreement. However, even with an elementary level of understanding, if capitalism is all about money, you’d have to consider at some point, what money is for. Money wasn’t invented for the benefit of the crooked and dishonest.. It might appear that way on account of what dishonest politicians and bankers have done to and with it throughout history, but government force and manipulation is not capitalism. Further, if not for capitalism, every honest worker would be somebody’s slave; regardless of race or ethnicity. Just for the record, if I didn’t have the upmost respect and admiration for KRS to begin with, I wouldn’t waste my time commenting.

It only appears contradictory because of the overlap of sectional oppression, sibling. Classism is what keeps poor people in those neighborhoods. To even be able to walk into the club door and "working on a masterpiece," you either went and got some money, or someone is backing you financially in some sense. Once you're in the door, then racism and sexism take effect, and people start competing and holding one another back based on that illusion of scarcity. Two homies from the same neighborhood are then separated based on skin color and set on different paths. There's a level of entitlement that tells demographics they deserve to be in a better position, and they'll go to sadistic lengths to fulfill that self-delusional prophecy, including sabotaging and handicapping any group they determine is an "other." And of course, the population that was enslaved and de-humanized is the easiest target to start with. Remember that "white" didn't exist before white supremacy. It was a legal term in America that dictated how much rights you had, and how human you were. But everyone loses, which is why there's so much white fragility about the situation. No one is white enough and no one is manly enough according to this delusional ideal, because it isn't a real scale, and therefore can't be a true source of value for anyone. But there's a spectrum, and some people are much further from the false "White Male" ideal than others, and since even the people at the top are insecure about it, they're happy to punch down on anyone further from the ideal than they are. Again, capitalism breads competition and classism anyway, and white supremacy brings racial division into that picture. We need new systems, for the good of all of us.
